Class Professionals is recruiting on behalf of our client, a family-owned early childhood service, for a Centre Director to oversee their centre in Kalgoorlie.
In this role, you will build and lead a team of educators, fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring that children receive the highest standard of care and education. You will be responsible for daily operations, compliance, curriculum implementation, and community engagement, creating a warm and welcoming environment for children and families, including those new to childcare.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Sound knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Understanding of financial management and budgeting
- Knowledge of child protection legislation and best practices
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met
- Lead and support a new team of educators, fostering a positive and professional workplace
- Build strong relationships with families and the local community
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment
- Develop and implement engaging educational programs
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and professional development
- Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the centre
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant regulations
