We are seeking dedicated Food Services Assistants/Kitchen hands to join our team at our partner aged care facilities. The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, cooking and serving of meals, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean and hygienic, and adhering to food safety and dietary requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Cert II in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handling and Safety certificate (HLTFSE001) preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- National Police Clearance
- Covid-19 Vaccination (3 doses) and Seasonal Influenza Vaccination
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Infection Prevention Control and Manual Handling in Aged Care training
- Up-to-date First Aid Certificate with CPR
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
- Assisting with meal preparation, cooking and serving
- Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean and hygienic
- Adhering to food safety and dietary requirements
- Assisting with stock control and ordering
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Assisting with general cleaning duties as required
- Following all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
