If you are seeking work in an Education Support Centre where your skills and training can be used in a supportive and inclusive environment within a wonderful ESC, with excellent facilities and a full team of trained individuals working alongside you, then this could be the opportunity for you....
Children that attend this support centre have been assessed by a School Psychologist or Paediatrician to have cognitive impairment and may also include an Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Global Development Delay.
This Department of Education centre, which is in the Wheatbelt region, north east of Perth, requires a Year 2 teacher for Term 2, with the possibility of an extension if required. As well as teaching general classroom subjects to a diverse range of students, you will also be preparing the children with future life skills and community engagement. There are excellent staff to child ratios at this school and each child has an IEP.
A relevant Education Support qualification and experience working in this environment will, of course, be a requirement, as well as a current First Aid certificate, TRBWA, WWCC and current Department of Education Screening number. If you have any other musical, drama or dance skills too, then don’t hold back - let us know!
Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the position along with all other entitlements that the role may command.
