We are seeking experienced and committed Childcare Cooks to join our team and provide relief support to our Early Childhood partners throughout the WA region.
It would be a distinct advantage (however, not necessary) to have previous experience working in a childcare or educational environment, as you will be required to plan and prepare healthy, nutritious, and fun meals for children. There may also be occasions when you are involved in cooking activities with the children, so having a good rapport with little ones is a must!
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you must have the following:
- Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (desirable but not essential)
- Food Handling Safety Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
- Evidence of COVID vaccinations
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
As a Childcare Cook, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing fresh and wholesome meals for children aged 0-5 years
- Overseeing the cooking of a rotating menu that caters to allergies and intolerances
- Building empathic and compassionate relationships with children, their families, and other staff
- Collaborating with Early Childhood partners to ensure the provision of nutritious and fun meals for children
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
